The final day of National Nursing Home week was Friday! We celebrated with a James Bond casino day and it was such a fun way to close out the week. The residents played a James Bond shooting game in the morning and then in the afternoon they played casino games to win tickets to get some awesome prizes donated by the staff. The residents look forward to this fun week every year and so many contribute to the success of it.
A special thank you to Heart to Heart Hospice, Eaton EMT's and Hartmeyer Stables for assisting us with our fun projects. Also a special thank you to our dietary department for all the themed meals you created this week.
They were delicious!
Enjoy some of our favorite photos from last week!

Tuesday of National Nursing Home week was western day. All the residents gathered in the saloon to enjoy pony visits from Hartmeyer Stables. They were so cute! In the afternoon the staff had a huge tug of war competition so the residents cheered them on and enjoyed snacks and root beer floats while soaking up the sunshine.
Wednesday we traveled to Hawaii and had a luau party. The residents created sand jar crafts in the morning and then enjoyed the limbo & hula hoop competitions in the afternoon.
Thursday was wacky day and boy it was wacky! The residents enjoyed a magician in the morning , had breakfast for lunch and then played all kinds of fun and wacky games in the afternoon including cheese head. The staff put on shower caps and covered them in shaving cream and then the residents got to throw cheeseballs to see who could get the most on there without them falling off.

Bethel Pointe Health & Rehab celebrated National Nursing Home Week in style last week! Our residents and staff had such a great time participating in the fun that the staff worked so hard in planning. We started off the week on Sunday celebrating Mother's Day where the residents enjoyed some sweet treats and had the opportunity to have some photos taken with their loved ones.

Then, Monday was kicked off with a little bit of soul - Soul Train that is. Residents enjoyed painting pet rocks and then in the afternoon we had a disco complete with a bubble machine and all!

Had my mother here and when they released her they handed me her stuff and got my mother home and opened up the bag and was full of meds. Shots to be given, but before the shots you had to check sugar levels. Well I had no machine to check that. Breathing treatments, had nothing to give her a breathing treatment with. Blood pressure meds to be given at certain blood pressure readings, I had no blood pressure machine to check. Never went over her meds with me, nothing. Well this place little stint costed my mother within 24hrs to go back into the hospital for 6 more weeks. And after all this time (4 yrs) and my mother now deceased they decided to bill me .. Really? Good luck with that. I was keeping my mouth shut and wasn't going to do a review but because they have guts to bill me after 4 years then I guess I need to make some decisions myself. Cause believe me I have all proof plus the day the ambulance came and got her, a nurse showed up and what she seen she couldn't believe. She was so upset at the situation she even wrote a statement out. I had no choice but give a 1 star but personally it isn't even worth that.read more
